Abstract
Voice provides us with a very natural way of interacting with both men and tools. When we design voice-based interactive systems, however, there are several built-in weak points in it that we should consider. This paper addresses such weaknesses as linearity, locality, privacy intrusion and inferiority complex, based on a case study conducted concerning asynchronous voice communication and a theoretical study in relation to powers of GUI. It also points out some additional problems that voice communication systems contain from functional perspectives.
