Abstract
Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) is regarded as a potential energy resource to be explored in Taiwan. Some activities of OTEC technology R&D are in progress, and the resource and environmental assessment is the first priority program being engaged in. Multi-purpose utilization of OTEC is the long-term goal in R&D program, and international cooperation by sharing the benefits of advanced technology development is necessary.
