Abstract :
In view of the possibility of Phenol pollution accident existing in source water, experimental study on the application of powdered activated carbon (PAC) regarded as an emergency way to Phenol pollution treatment is performed in this article, taking the water from Songhua River as raw water. Comparing the Phenol adsorption efficiency of four types of powdered activated carbon through static tests at 9, 2# PAC can remove Phenol pollutant with the best effect, the rate of adsorption fits the Lagergren second order kinetic model well. The influence of pH and temperature on the adsorption effect of 2#PAC are researched simultaneously. Then the optimum dosages of 2#PAC and adsorption time are determined in conditions of different Phenol exceeding standard multiples.
