Abstract :
Limitation of optical fibers capacity by ionizing radiation loads is discussed. Analysis of noise generated within optical fibers by external factors presents significant scientific and practical interest. Among external factors the ionizing radiation represents the special interest because of multiplicity of phenomena generated within a fiber. As a result of irradiation both dielectric and mechanical parameters of a fiber are changed. Due to these effects destructive phase phenomena will arise in an optical signal propagating in a fiber
