  • Abstract
    EBPSK based UNB modulation is developed to improve spectral efficiency, and in order to explore the potential performance of EBPSK modulation, MEBPSK modulation is proposed in the article. First, EBPSK modulation is introduced briefly as the base of MEBPSK Second, MEBPSK modulation is presented, waveform generating method and realization of the modulation are given in the form of expression, including its coding and decoding progress, and PSD for MEBPSK is shown through simulation, whose characteristics are analyzed and compared to that of EBPSK Then, a kind of filter is discussed which is used in the realization of MEBPSK modulation method. At last, different simulation is done based on the study above, BER performance of EBPSK and MEBPSK is achieved and analyzed by comparing. An excellent demodulation performance is achieved using MEBPSK modulation with much narrower filter besides and a multiple fold data rate can be transferred.
