Abstract :
Attention is paid to the compilers, program development, and scalar, vector, and parallel floating-point computation and I/O of supercomputers and minisupercomputers. A method for calculating single performance numbers is presented to estimate the overall performances of computers. A throughput test is developed to measure the multiprogramming support of the operating system, hardware, and overheads in context switching, paging, and swapping
