Abstract :
The activities and present position of the Netherlands with respect to OTEC activities are discussed. In the Netherlands the OTEC R&D is undertaken by the private sector with financial support from the governments. In 1982 a Dutch - Indonesian cooperation was developed which aims at the construction and operation of a 100 KW land based plant on the island of Bali. In the first half year of 1983 a site selection was made and an oceanografic survey was completed.
