Abstract :
The scattering matrix model of the quasioptical open resonator (QOR) coupled to a single mode waveguide, which is based on solved diffraction problems of the wave and a Gaussian beam on the open flat waveguide with the flange, is proposed. Necessity of the radiating losses account of coupling elements in measuring QOR is shown at the cases of the strong coupling and a coupling near to critical. Correct calculation of a propagation constant of the QOR filling environment can be made on the basis of the offered model and the measured characteristics of QOR reflection and propagation factors
