Abstract :
A class of fault-tolerant ATM multistage interconnection networks, named the EPT networks, is presented. These networks can achieve a complexity o(Nlog2N) when an appropriate pruning level is adopted. It is shown that the EPT networks ensure a high terminal reliability. It is also shown that the maximum throughput of the EPT networks increases with network size and is higher than what is offered by other fault-tolerant MINs
