Abstract
The potential value of a computer-based executive information system (EIS) is described, and attention is given to the ways in which executives use an EIS. It is suggested that, as firms and executives consider implementation of a computer-based EIS, it would well be worth their time to examine the rich theoretical base that the academic researchers have provided
