Abstract :
A new class of half-band bandpass (HB2P) filters with a conjugate symmetry with respect to the normalized half-band frequency Ω=π/2 is introduced. They serve as a model for describing interchannel interference (ICI) in inside-out DFT (discrete Fourier transform) polyphase filter banks. These filter banks constitute a general structure for multicarrier data transmission systems. An analysis of the crosstalk impulse response leads to an analytic HB2 P filter with a real part consisting of zero-valued coefficients for all odd indexes and an imaginary port consisting of zero-valued coefficients for all even indexes. These special properties are to be used for avoiding ICI in multicarrier data transmission systems
