Abstract :
The present work is intended to allow the EIS (executive information systems) researcher, as well as the EIS consumer, to evaluate, based upon a consistently defined and represented set of attributes, current EIS products. Using a simple and straightforward methodology, the authors developed a generic definition of EIS and identified attributes which must be present. Current market products were then evaluated within the scope of these attributes. Tabular representations of product evaluations are provided. It is believed that the information available here could help in further research in many areas such as determination of standards in the EIS industry, identification of future trends in product development and implementation, and EIS design and technological considerations
