Aero-dynamic characteristics are one of the most important main performance indexes of motor vehicles, which is determinative to car-body final shape. Car-body integer optimization of aero-dynamic characteristics is a way to reduce air drag and improve operation stability. The method, confirming ideal basic body and then achieving perfect car-body shape, is a practical application in modern industrial design on car. Such design method requests a CFD simulation on aero-dynamic characteristics of a car running on the road and bring forward its mathematics and physics model to supply the gist of flexible design method. This method is useful in shortening design cycles, decreasing design cost and increasing fuel economy.
