Current offshore oil and gas exploration in northern seas and future plans for marine transportation of Arctic resources are causing increasing demand for novel marine equipment and for trained operators of that equipment, This paper examines how simulation techniques can be adapted to help in both equipment development and personnel training for Arctic navigation.
