Abstract :
Direct electron optical study has been carried out for anodic film grown on substrates comprising an aluminium layer superimposed on nickel (Ni-Al bilayer) in 0.05M oxalic acid electrolyte. The latter was expected to provide the conditions for thorough barrier layer dissolution at the nickel/alumina interface in order to produce nanoporous templates suitable for Ni electrochemical deposition and forming metallic nanowires suitable for direct multifunctional applications
