Abstract
The paper reports the analysis of defect induced 2D Circular dielectric slab with air hole in waveguide cavity. Two types of defect modes have been used: point defect and Line defect mode and found a good agreement between simulation and measured results. A band gap of 1.14 GHz without defect mode have been analyzed whereas band gap reduction is observed by 77 MHz in case of point defect and by 97 MHz in case of Line defect.
