Abstract :
A knowledge-based approach to the problem of analyzing multiple failure indicators for an intelligent network is presented. A demonstration system development tool is discussed to demonstrate the concept. This knowledge-based approach shows that the knowledge in planning the network and designing its services can be captured and used to help improve the maintenance effort, even when there are no domain experts on maintaining the future network
