Abstract :
The method of analysis of electromagnetic wave scattering from structures containing complex metallized cylindrical objects is developed. The boundary problem of the object is analyzed using an iterative scattering procedure and the orthogonal expansion method. The obtained mathematical model of scattering is utilized to examine close and open problems, and the examples of their applications are presented. It is possible to vary the frequency response of microwave device realized with the use of the objects under consideration by means of their simple rotation. It helps to correct any inaccuracies created during fabrication. A good agreement is obtained between the results of this method and those obtained from FDTD simulations and measurements.
