Abstract :
The authors describe a prototype of an expert system called EKA. The main functions of the system are network switching planning and real-time event analysis. The prototype for switching planning is already ready, while the function for event analysis is still under development. The first application of the system is to the 110 kV subtransmission network of the Helsinki Energy Board
