Abstract :
This paper presents a method for detection of humans in video sequences. The intended application of the method is outdoor surveillance. In such an uncontrolled environment, the appearance of humans varies hugely due to clothing, identity, occluding accessories (such as briefcases, shopping bags). Also we can have partial human appearances in video sequences. We are developing a system that can detect humans which are partially occluded in video sequences. Here we present some preliminary results.
