The computerized technical database at EDF. An integrated system for planning, operation and network facilities management

The aim of EDF´s electrical energy distribution network operators is to improve the quality of service of electricity with optimum financial results and at lower cost. To this end, it is necessary to determine the trend of the quality of supply and secure knowledge of the factors acting on it. The number of data to be processed and the need to analyse them rapidly and thoroughly, involve resorting to computerized data processing. Although most programs have been available for several years, they are now moving towards more user-friendly systems based on graphic display and greater interactivity of processing.
