  • Abstract
In order to reduce the number of trial-error procedures in plant which usually are long and costly, numerical simulation has been revealed as an important tool in designing the induction heating system. From the mathematical point of view, induction heating problem consists of a nonlinear coupled modeling of partial differential equations which arises from an eletromagnetic-thermal problem. In this paper, the eddy current change and temperature distribution of an object in heating process is simulated considering the material properties. It is shown that the simulation results of the object temperature in good agreement with the measured values, which can provide useful information to optimize whole induction heating process.
