Performance bounds for cell management schemes in cellular radio

Two bounds for channel assignment schemes in cellular radio are presented. Both appear as the solution to linear programs. The bounds can be used to assess the robustness of cell management schemes to changing traffic patterns. Two cell management schemes are looked at: a hybrid scheme in which some channels are shared and others not and a fuzzy boundary scheme in which use is made of the cell overlap region to route calls alternately
