Construction of a Web-Based Platform for Teaching and Self-Learning

This paper elaborates on theories and practices of the design, build and application of a teaching and self-learning system of information organization science. This system is an important component part of information organization curriculum. The features and social benefits of the system are discussed in terms of system architecture design, processing of main contents and methods of study and use. Since the system is running and used in the Internet environment, its success can accumulate experiences for Web-based platforms for learning.
