Abstract
An analytical method for designing digital FIR filters is presented which equates the filter transfer function to a function of the n th order Chebyshev polynomial, c n(arg). By proper development of arg, a purely digital function, equiripple passband filters with user-specified notch frequencies can be designed. Examples are given to illustrate the utility of the technique
