In order to better control warp tension of rapier loom and prevent negative impacts on the quality of the fabric by reason of the excessive fluctuation. This paper took let-off system of SAURER400 rapier loom as experimental subject and put forward to the application of single neuron adaptive PID control method. This article also carried out a simulation with this algorithm in Simulink of the Matlab and took the simulation result compare with the simulation curve of PID and fuzzy-PID. The result showed that the simulation curve of single neuron adaptive PID control algorithm was fast response and small overshoot; In the weaving, this algorithm control the warp tension effectively and reduce the warp end breakage rate obviously.
