  • Abstract
    In this paper, a soccer goal extraction algorithm by using shot features is presented. In a soccer game, after a goal shot, it is usually followed by a celebration shot and a slow motion replay shot. By analyzing the correlations among shots, we can make a decision that this specialized time sequenced shots group contains a goal shot. Simulation results on different sequences show that the proposed algorithm is effective and accuracy for detecting goal shots in soccer videos.
