  • Abstract
    For scientific management for coal in coal-fired power plant, statistic for coal storage at a coal yard is necessary. A measurement method for coal pile volume on basis of Graphic Process Unit introduced in this article is to make use of a laser telemeter to collect three dimensional coordinate data on several surface point of coal pile and a model established for such data collected with re-sampling and calculation for the model to obtain a complete volume of coal yard by GPU rendering, JPG graphic with plane height, cubic AVI cartoon and three dimensional line frame model file with DirectX format may be generated used to express result visually.
