Abstract
Wave depolarization by the atmosphere radio profiling. Relation of main and cross polarization field constituents in case of scattering at dielectric permittivity fluctuations is examined in this paper. Relation q=Esperp(thetas,phi)/Espar(thetas,phi) depends on the scattering direction only, and doesn´t depend of distribution epsiv(x, y, z) in the scattering area V (x, y, z). For radar sounding systems the measured relation Esperp/Espar can obtain values near -20 dB in the case of antennas directional diagrams mismatch or antennas site separation in the observation plane
