Abstract :
A brief history of the UK´s activities in OSI conformance testing up to the beginning of 1986 is given. The remainder of the paper concerns the progress since then and the current status of the various activities. The author discusses standardisation, European OSI conformance testing services, the UK Consortium on OSI testing, the Corporation for Open Systems and accreditation
