Abstract :
One of the major issues in wireless sensor networks is to find algorithms and protocols that are suitable to the limited capacities of the sensor nodes. In this paper, we present a novel opportunistic mechanism that achieves routing of critical periodical information transmitted by mobile nodes. A multi-hop fixed tree topology that uses hierarchical addresses is deployed to cover the area in which mobile nodes evolve. This fixed topology is used to route traffic between mobile nodes and towards a sink that is connected to a control station. Traffic destined to a mobile node is routed towards the nearest fixed node in its range. Our mechanism avoids overloading the network with control traffic and ensures delivery of critical data to the destination.
