Abstract :
The limited results presented tend to support the contention that the combination of the cosine sampling law and the associated Chebyshev transform offer a particularly good combination of sampling law and sub-optimum orthogonal transform ion the particular case of speech data. However, the results give only a qualitative indication that the new Chebyshev transform is particularly relevant for speech data but suggest that it is at least worthy of further investigation
