Abstract :
The report shows different types of Coriolis measuring systems and a wide range of possible prefeeders. The strict separation of measuring system and discharge system is essential to design a feeding device which works properly. The results of the dust feeding at Lafarge Plant Malogoszcz in Poland proves the Coriolis system as the right choice for the feeding of dust and meal. For the production of high quality products in the cement, lime, and gypsum industry, gravimetric measuring and feeding systems are essential. The feeding of meals and dusts is of special importance here. High accuracy, reliability, and last but not least environmental acceptability are the main requirements on these systems. Main fields of application include kiln feed and coal dust feed, the feeding of additives in cement mills or mixers, as well as the use of the Coriolis systems as measuring or feeding equipment in loading stations
