Abstract :
This paper describes approaches to appropriate integration of production and business management information systems. Process technology provides the operating data for process-orientated evaluation. The data is processed with the aid of production management information systems, which have become increasingly powerful in recent years with the incorporation of a variety of subsystems. On the other side the capabilities of commercial information systems have also expanded at great speed. After a phase of intensive growth development has now to locus on integration of all installed information systems, both on site and covering different sites. The target is to make the relevant components of the decision making process more transparent by combining data from different systems and in particular by installing easy access to this information independent of underlying basic systems. For this purpose, an intranet solution has been developed at Rudersdorfer Zement which is explained in this paper
