Abstract :
Modern Oceanographic bathymetry, hydrography and sub-bottom profiling systems typically require accurate ambient noise and propagation loss data in order to produce peak results. This paper describes a class of digital signal processing algorithms for analyzing these parameters, A class of FIR digital filters and an Incremental Fourier Transform implemented in a recursive algorithm are included. These algorithms can be implemented on a general purpose minicomputer operating in real-time.
