Abstract
The ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) technique has been applied to prepare fine metallic spheres of a CoSb3 skutterudite phase. The microstructure observations were performed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It showed that spheres were built either from nanocrystalline or amorphous material. The energy dispersive spectrometry EDS microanalysis and selected area diffraction pattern analysis SADP proved proper chemical and phase composition. The selected thermoelectric parameters of densified powders are comparable to bulk values.
