  • Abstract
To provide high-efficiency and QoS-assured services in NGN, service management is required and has to face the challenges that NGN´s new characteristics bring about. The challenges are analyzed first. Following that, we present a hierarchical architecture with the function of dynamic SLA management in a single domain in NGN. The inter-domain architecture is proposed to solve the problem of sharing management information between different domains. The execution of SLA management is specially described in detail. Finally, a UML-based information model for service management in NGN is defined.
