Abstract :
The authors present the functional requirements of the ENEL and EDF secondary voltage control systems, compare the technical solutions which have been brought into operation, and approach the question of the developments to come. They then present the CEGB point of view, which considers a centralized control system in conjunction with research in progress in the field of automatic generation control (AGC), and makes comparisons with ENEL and EDF viewpoints, concerning voltage control
