Abstract
A neuron model with chaotic dynamics is explained on the basis of properties of biological nerve membranes such as continuous threshold separatrix and hysteresial refractoriness. It is demonstrated that an artificial neural network composed of such neuron models generates dynamical associative memory. The application of a chaotic neural network to associative memory is discussed
