  • Abstract
The author has been involved in developing a prototype system, based on a commercial CAD package, which uses several different command input techniques, including voice. Some of the problems encountered in the course of this research program are discussed. Voice systems are available that can be used and enhance existing commercial software packages. Using current technologies, not all packages will benefit from voice input and careful consideration must be given to the suitability of existing applications. The success of voice systems is dependent on the application, the environment and users´ attitudes
