Abstract :
The authors describe a new type of resonant applicator which can be rigid or flexible, does not use high permittivity dielectric and can be designed for a wide choice of frequency and size requirements. The principle of the new applicator is shown. Energy is radiated from a conductor spaced above a ground plane. Additional capacitance to the ground plane is added at the ends of the conductors so that the combination forms a simple resonant circuit
