Abstract :
The authors discuss their participation in a collaborative study to determine the effect of adding hyperthermia to radiotherapy in the treatment of superficial malignant tumours. Some aspects of quality assurance are illustrated by examining the characteristics of a 434 MHz device which is used either as a single applicator or as elements in an array in clinical treatments
