Abstract :
In this paper, an energy balancing control is proposed for a three-phase active power filter (APF). The simplicity of energy analysis in the controlled system is formulated and proposed. The proposed approach presents a novel reference current generation of three-phase system under distorted and/or unbalanced load using cycle by cycle basis. The low harmonic distortion, unity power factor and balanced load can be achieved by sensing and controlling the source current. The simulation results of various loads verify the validity and performance of the proposed control.
