  • Abstract
The author develops an algorithm to study the concept of fault diagnosis in a system which has been designed for fault diagnosis without repair using the models developed independently by F.P. Preparata et al. (1967) and S.L. Hakimi and T. Amin (1974). Having developed the algorithm for fault diagnosis, one can perform the process of the fault analysis. It is also demonstrated that the algorithm is correct and general for the number of faults of the system. It is shown that the results of the artificial intelligence algorithm developed in the paper agree with those of Hakimi and Amin
