Abstract :
Lock-up clutch can be added to improve its efficiency in a torque converter. This paper analyzes the lockup control law of the torque converter, using two-parameter control strategy of velocity and throttle, setting the parameter values, according to the established mathematical model and mechanical model of the power transmission, a simulation model is established based on Matlab/simulink. The simulation results show that the clutch of torque converter can lock-up or unlock correctly according to the pre-established control strategy, so that the vehicle´s drivability and fuel economy is improved.
