Abstract
The performance of multipath data transport depends on the degree of co-interference between the paths, and hence metrics to quantify the interference can help in selecting multiple paths with good performance during multipath route discovery. In this paper, we investigate 3 factors that affect the throughput performance of multipaths in an attempt to classify the multipaths. We study multipaths with different degree of interference (i.e. different network topologies) in a single-channel wireless multihop network. We compare simulation results on multipath performance for a number of cases of interfering multiple paths. Our results show that there is strong correlation between the multipath transport performance and factors such as the number and local density of interfering links.
