Abstract
Outlines a new integrated computerised system for licensing microwave fixed links in the private user fixed link bands. The author draws attention to the novel aspects of the new system, and in particular, the remote terminal facilities for private users and others to carry out trial frequency assignments. The key benefits of the new system will be: better planning facilities for users; early assurance that proposed links are assignable; help to resolve congestion problems; speeding up of licensing procedures; and licence fees held down
