Abstract :
A study is made of programmable switched-capacitor (SC) decimating structures with finite impulse response (FIR). Alternative structures are presented in which programmability is achieved using quasi-passive multiplying and algorithmic digital-to-analog converters. Their comparative advantages are outlined considering such design aspects as component count, capacitance spread, speed of operation, and complexity of the digital switching waveform generators
