Abstract
The results of studying possible use of heat flows in soils for electric energy generation by thermoelectric generators (TEG) are given. The relations for TEG power depending on its geometry and the depth of its occurrence in soil were derived. Optimization of TEG by matching its thermal and physical characteristics to soil characteristics was made. A series of long-acting thermoelectric sources using the heat of soils for power supply to various devices was created.
