Abstract
This paper presents finite set model predictive current control of voltage source converter (VSC) without back-emf sensors. Proposed solution uses synchronous reference frame observers to estimate back-emf with zero phase and amplitude error and is robust against high frequency measurement noise on the current. Furthermore discrete time synchronous reference frame observers are able to predict future values of back-emf and therefore successfully compensate for delays. Presented solution is verified in simulati on and is compared wi th existing solution for back-emf estimation.
